Run out of our Montville Chocolate Emporium, choose from two workshops and discover your inner Chocolatier with our very own Master Chocolatier, Julie. You’ll dive hands first into a delicious pool of knowledge and skills, gathering insight into the art of the craft, before creating your very own masterpieces. You’ll be moulding, melting, dipping and decorating with the finest locally-sourced ingredients to enrich and refine your chocolate experience. You’ll leave well equipped with a free gift, new found knowledge and skills, and all of your artisan chocolate creations – if you haven’t already indulged in their decadence!
Our chocolate making workshops are great for corporate events, work Christmas parties, hens nights, team bonding, or simply learning a new skill.
All Chocolate School students craft their very own chocolate creations under the expert tuition of master chocolatier Julie Walters. Our two-hour workshops are a fun, creative experience where we get hands-on using various quality ingredients to master the art of mixing and smoothing, dipping and decorating with the milk, dark and white chocolate. Short and sweet, these workshops are ideal for teen birthday parties, hens parties, groups of friends, mothers and daughters and team bonding for business. Expect to leave your chocolate making lesson with your handmade treats and a headful of new knowledge and skills to impress your family and friends.
Take those skills up a notch with the four-hour Tempering & Truffles workshop which covers the more technical aspects of chocolate making for those wanting to apply a chocolatier’s touch. Learn the different types of chocolate in the appreciation session and understand the science behind why we temper chocolate and how to do it. Test your knowledge by applying your skills to making chocolate ganache, pralines, moulded, dipped, rolled and decorations.
Class sizes are limited to 8 people and can be enjoyed as an individual or with friends. No previous knowledge or chocolate making experience is necessary. The skill level is suitable for teenagers through to adults.
